Orginals were created to be the worker ants of an empire that spanded most of the central Milky Way (the empire didn't call it that, of course) galaxy. Because the empire lasted for eons, there had been many evilutionary versions of Orginals. Since they have an living componant the scientists of the empire were able to grow and mold each species for a particular purpose. In this Orginal's case, it's a warrior. Since they are created using the insect world model, they are very obedient and easy to control not only with programming but with scents and flavors.
They knew our planet Earth by another name, but didn't pay it much attention, since it was in the outer rim of this empire. Never the less, they had a claim to our planet for thousands of years: not really paying much attention to the local fawna, which included the evolving humaniods dealing with the ice age. Since Earth was so remote, the only interest in our planet was some mining of resources and scientific research. Thus the planet wasn't really populated by the citizens of the empire.
Over thousands of years, humans evolved more and began to take notice of the striding Orginals. Moreover, they started to depict the servants of the empire as gods and began to create images of the creatures. And example are the giant sand drawings in North America. Another example are the bizzare warrior carvings found in Africa.
Like all empires, it devolved into civil war. Factions breaking off and fighting. Less Orginals were created for mundane tasks and instead created for war. The Earth outpost was abandoned around the time of the rise of Mesopotamia in the middle east.
The civil war raged for thousands of years, and the humans on earth were oblivious to the goings on just beyond their solar system.
By around 2500, humans managed not to kill each other off, and had colonized most of the solar system.
The civil war of the empire concluded with it breaking up and the truce splitting the Milky Way galaxy into sections spanning light years.
Our solar system, is of course, now part of this new smaller empire, and since trillions upon trillions of citizens from that empire need to relocate, Earth and her solar system isn't such a far off out post any longer. This smaller empire now set it's sites on a forgotten section to take over as it's own.
Thus a war between the Humans and warriors known as Orginals began.
I could go on and on about the war and my over arching storyline for it, but it's a friggin' epic and I don't want to go into all of the details for one posting of a drawing.

Is it a good thing that children believe in the Tooth Fairy or the Hogfather or, shall we say, Father Christmas? Yes. We need to train our imagination on the little lies so that we can believe the big lies like "Justice," "Truth." - Terry Pratchett
Looks good! And the idea is interesting but there is a basic flaw in your premise, any fighting between Humans and Original would be short and brutal (for us). In the scenario you described Human civilization as reached type 2 levels but the Original's as long achieved type 3 status!
It's like a dog fight between a WWI biplane and a modern combat jet! Skill would have no bearing on the outcome such is the difference in technologies. That said I've no idea what's your project so maybe this fact would have no influence on it! If you are planning a story/comic/graphical novel then you are in trouble because you'll have to deal with a massive suspension of disbelieve for any fighting between humans and originals!
But as for the art I've nothing to point out since it's all good! I do find it reminiscent of the angels in Neon Genesis Evangelion one of my favorite animations.
